The Jade Sea Expedition was the most insane, most insidious, most daring, most epic roadtrip ever attempted in Kenya!

A 9 days' offroad adventure circumnavigating the Lake Turkana from its eastern shores into Ethiopia and to the western shores of Lake Turkana.

This 2,400kms offroad expedition took on the treacherous backroads of the Northern Kenya's most beautiful yet inhospitable landscapes and crossing into Southern Ethiopia and back to Kenya. Over 1,000kms of the trip was offroad!

It tested the drivers' 4x4 driving and mechanical skills, endurance, courage, stamina, perseverance and resilience against the Northern Kenya nature.

Tempers flared, while lasting friendships got forged!

Plus a Subaru Forester XT, Nissan Xtrail and Suzuki Jimny, all successfully completed the trip under the stewardship of The Mara Nomads!
