Moto Guzzi V7: Fixing a STOLEN V7

YouMotorcycle

In Episode 4 of the Best MidSize Retro Motorcycle (For Me) Series, join me, Adrian, as I tackle the restoration of a dirtcheap and potentially stolen Moto Guzzi V7. I'll try my best to address:

0:00 Video + Series Intro
0:39 Aesthetic Problems & Solutions
3:28 Mechanical Issues & Solutions
6:45 Was It Worth It?

1. Aesthetic Challenges & Solutions:

My Moto Guzzi V7 only cost $2,000, but it sure was ugly! Watch as I address spraypaint disasters on the gas tank, side covers, and fenders. Learn from my DIY attempts to bring the V7's aesthetic back to life, with a few hiccups along the way.
Pro Tips:
Paint remover works great on metal (not so good on plastic in the winter)
Motorcycle tank dent pullers also struggle in the cold
Plastic in general is hard to repaint
Your local dealer can help (thank you to Studio Cycle)

2. Mechanical Issues (Potentially Sorted):

Getting this V7 to startup and run smoothly was a battle. I discovered rust in the tank, and called in Carlo at Moto Motori for a little help. He discovered even more problems including a failing fuel pump, fuel filter, and screen. We'll also take a look at what's to come, IF this Moto Guzzi makes it through to the next round in the contest.
Pro Tips:
Always make sure a motorcycle is cold before you buy it
Always look inside the gas tank before you buy
If a fuel injected motorcycle is struggling to run right, investigate out the fuel pump

3. Cost Analysis & Future Prospects:

Delve into the financial aspect of this Moto Guzzi V7 rescue mission. After spending $2,000 on this motorcycle, how much more did I have to spend? Was it worth it? What's still to come?
Pro Tips:
Some things are worth doing yourself, some aren't
Be patient and use the right stuff for the job
Be prepared for long delays on parts

What's Next in the Best MidSize Retro Motorcycle Series?
