Motorhome tips The smart generator in our motorhomes does NOT charge our batteries.
Generators in many motorhomes are not really that smart as they do not charge our batteries as we think. If we drive on a country road and have, for example, the refrigerator etc. running on 12 Volt operation, it may be that the batteries are discharged as the generator does not charge properly while driving. I will explain this phenomenon which manifests itself markedly now when our solar cells (supplements) do not fully charge due to lack of sun (Winter). I will also present and show a solution to this problem in this video which is to install a Victron Dc Dc charger. This installation I think we can invoke action from the dealers where we have bought the motorhome from as this is not a good product.
