Wow! Mount Washington, New Hampshire...I went into this trip unsure if I would be able to make it to the summit after reading the reports leading up to that day (April 1st, 2024). But it was meant to be! Special thanks to my hiking buddy, Rhys, for helping me get to the summit (and down safely). We took Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail up and down, using Crawford Path to cross up to the summit. I needed up taking a high trail back because I was not comfortable crossing back down over the snow field with how my spikes were interacting with the ice/snow conditions in the afternoon. It took a tiny bit longer, but it was worth it for me to be comfortable and safe. Happy with my choices for this spring summit with some winterlike conditions!
