Mounting Watercolor Paper on Board

Are you tired of buying glass and mats for your watercolor? Mount it on a board an you can varnish it and frame it like an acrylic or oil painting. Yes, it's messy and it takes practice to get it right, but there are a lot of advantages to varnished watercolor painting. Check my website for more info. *MATERIALS*
1. Masonite panel (gessoed) I used an Aquabord or Pastelbord panel in the video but you can also use any type of gessoed panel cradled board also.(Ampersand makes nice artist panels.)
2. Acrylic Gel Medium
3. Paper Watercolor Paper, painted or unpainted, larger than your panel (90 lb. or 140 lb. will adhere well, the 300 lb. can be done, but is more troublesome)
4. Palette knife or bristle brush to apply gel medium
5. Trim Utility or exacto knife to cut away side strips
6. Easy Cleanup Use lots of newspaper and paper towels
7. Varnish I use Golden's Archival Spray Varnish
