Hollywood is back in Northeast Ohio as a film production has taken over a portion of Mentor Headlands beach to create some movie magic in Lake County.

So what movie is this? While no official confirmation has been provided, we do know that a project currently labeled as “Genesis” which is widely believed to be the new Superman movie directed by James Gunn is slated to begin filming in our area very soon.
3News captured some footage from the closedoff section of the beach Wednesday, showing tents and camera equipment along the sand.

Back in April, Angela Boehm Casting said Cleveland “shoot dates” for the “Genesis” project were scheduled for June 17 – July 16. They also noted that filming will take place in Cincinnati from July 1718.
