MPCNC - Fusion 360 CAM u0026 Workflow - Cutting 2D Parts Out of Flat Sheet

In this video, I discuss my basic Fusion 360 workflowhow I go from CAD to CAM, setting up a part, and a basic toolpath plan for cutting parts out of flat sheet stock. This workflow can be applied to MDF, plywood, plastic sheets, or in my case, aluminum. Be advised, there is no machine or CNC footage in this video. This is strictly a CAM video.

The aluminum I setup to cut here is 7075T6. It's a very hard and strong grade compared to 6061 which is much softer. I would not recommend copying my feeds/speeds when attempting 6061. Being softer, it's more likely to gum up the bit or melt and ruin the job and the tool. My MPCNC is very small and rigid and I'm pushing the limits of the machine by cutting 7075 so don't expect great results.

Fusion 360 has A TON of advanced settings that can be tweaked so I highly recommend checking out NYC CNC or Lars Christensen on YouTube for further learning.
