Well guys.. Last summer I about burned myself out by push mowing our fairly large yard. It would take about 1.52 hours to finish mowing weekly, and ain't nooobody got time for that. So.. I set out with a small budget to buy an inexpensive riding lawn mower off of classified platforms like Marketplace and/or Craigslist. I found the one in this video a 2001 MTD 42" Riding Lawn Mower with a 14.5 HP Briggs and Stratton Engine for $150. The kicker was that it didn't run, but it appeared to be in good shape. The previous owner mentioned the battery was shot, and it was actually dated 2016. With a little elbow grease, time, and about $120 extra we got her running and cutting and she's a little lawn mowing machine! Since this video ended I've mowed the backyard lawn and it performed very very well, and I'm extremely excited to have this new mower as part of our arsenal here for homestead maintenance.
