Multifocal atrial tachycardia is an atrial arrhythmia that occurs when the natural cardiac pacemaker site shifts between different ectopic atrial foci leading to multiple pwave morphologies seen on an electrocardiogram. It differs from a wandering atrial pacemaker rhythm only in its heart rate.
