The players are invulnerable! The only way to defeat them is to charge the core to 10000 and use its special ability to win.

Any ball that touches the core will rapidly lose its mass that is transferred to the core. If the core is owned by the touching player, the number will go up, otherwise the number will go down.
When the core is fully charged (10000 points), territory will be converted to the owning player in an expanding ring around the core, until it covers the entire map.
