This video shows how to utilize a MultiPurpose abutment to fabricate a custom abutment with a lingual access hole for an angled screw driver.

After the implant is adequately integrated, remove the healing abutment. Insert the MultiPurpose abutment. It is important that the mating area of the MultiPurpose abutment fully engages the mating area of the implant. Tighten the fixation screw only with finger pressure.

Fill the top of the screw head with wax to prevent impression material from flowing into the head of the screw. Inject medium body impression material around the MultiPurpose abutment. Then inject medium body impression material into an impression tray.
Take an impression. After the impression material has hardened, remove the impression. Remove the MultiPurpose abutment from the mouth. Reinsert the healing abutment. Attach the MultiPurpose abutment to an analog.

Orient the MultiPurpose abutmentanalog assembly so that the flat surfaces of the transfer matches the flat surfaces in the impression and then fully insert into the impression.

Inject pink soft tissue model material around the analog. Pour model stone in the impression and a model is made. Remove MultiPurpose abutment from stone model. Attach the MultiPurpose abutment to the analog. Use a carbide bur to shape the MultiPurpose abutment. Use a carbide bur to create a slot for an angled balltip screwdriver.

Place the abutment into the stone model to verify the fit. Insert the fixation screw with an angled balltip screwdriver. Place the crown into the stone model to verify fit.Remove the crown and abutment and place the abutment onto an analog.

Place a wooden end of a cotton tip applicator into the screw channel to keep it protected. Apply bonding material to the crown.
Bond the crown to the abutment and remove excess bonding material. Orient the screw access hole towards the lingual slot of the screw channel.

Place the custom restoration in the mouth. Insert the fixation screw with an angled balltip screwdriver. The screw should be torqued to 30 Newtown Centimeters.
