1Oblique Head: The Base of the Metatarsals #2 to #4 Tendon of the Fibularis Longus
2Transverse Head: Plantar Metatarsophalangeal Ligaments
Insertion:
Lateral Plantar Side of the Proximal Phalanx of the 1st (Big) Toe
Functions:
1Adduction of the 1st (Big) Toe @ MTP Joint
2Flexion of the 1st (Big) Toe @ the MTP Joint
Nerve:
Lateral Plantar Nerve
Activation: Squeezing of the 1st and 2nd Toe (Adduction)
Lengthening: Abduction of the 1st and 2nd Toe (Abduction) (Slight Extension)
