Origin:
Transverse Processes of C3 – C6

Insertion:
Scalene Tubercle on the 1st Rib

Functions:
1 Flexion of the Neck @ the Spinal Joints
2 Lateral Flexion of the Neck @ the Spinal Joints
3 Contralateral Rotation of the Neck @ the Spinal Joints
4 Elevation of the 1st Rib (During Deep Inhalation)


Nerve:
Ventral Rami of Cervical Nerves C3 – C6
