Origin:
Transverse Processes of C1 – C4

Insertion:
Medial Border of Scapulae (Between the Superior Border and the Root of the Spine of the Scapula)

Functions:
1 Extension of the Neck @ the Spinal Joints
2 Lateral Flexion of the Neck @ the Spinal Joints
3 Elevation of the Scapula @ the ScC Joints
4 Ipsilateral Rotation of the Neck @ the Spinal Joints
5 Downward Rotation of the Scapula @ the ScC Joints

Nerve:
Dorsal Scapular Nerve
