MD88 is crazy loud with its spool ups and downs during descent. It's one of the ONLY planes where you can actually hear the buzzing sound DURING descent and landing! JT8D buzzing starts at around 50% thrust, which is wayyy sonner than other engines. For example, the CFM567B buzzes only at around 85% thrust and above.
