Today we build bridges in all sorts of unconventional ways. I figure the less bridge we have the cheaper thing will be so we let gravity do a lot of the work. This poses an interesting problem since jumping cars on bridges adds a lot of stress. Slowly but surely I find the solutions I need, often under budget as well. At one point I realize that if I build into the water that may help take some of the weight off my bridge structure. Not sure if that's true but my bridge did work..
