In 2018, the blood mother of Vera and Nikita was deprived of parental rights. The children were sent to an orphanage and immediately wanted to be separated. Nikita has cerebral palsy and he had to be sent to an institution for children with disabilities. But Vera made sure they stayed together. Since childhood, Vera was inseparable from her brother, she looked after and raised him, because his mother drank, and his father died very early. When the stepfather appeared in the family, he also started drinking with his mother, beat the children and mocked them. The orphanage for children in those conditions was a real salvation. When they lived in an orphanage, Vera and Nikita were talked about in the “Angel Day” program, and the Vasyukov foster family saw them. They wanted to take the children, but due to living conditions they were unable to do so.
And then Vera and Nikita were taken by another foster family with many children. Vera lived in this family until she was 18 years old. But since a trusting relationship with her parents did not develop, Vera ran away from her foster family at the age of 18. And Nikita remained there. All this time, Vera maintained relations with Natalya and Alexey Vasyukov. And at 20 I decided to come to the Vasyukov family. They accepted her like their own daughter. Vera changed her name and took the surname of the Vasyukovs.
The first foster family has not allowed the brother and sister to communicate via video conference for 2 years now. Allowed to meet in person. But Vera lives in Sergiev Posad, and Nikita lives in the Leningrad region. And therefore meetings are impossible.
As an orphan, Vera also cannot get an apartment, since she owns an apartment in which her alcoholic stepfather lives, and no one can evict him from there. Vera’s biggest dream is to get an apartment, become independent and take Nikita with her.
