After being diagnosed with Stage 3 (possibly 4) ovarian cancer during surgery on my left ovary back in June 2022, I decided to pursue treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. So far I have been through six rounds of paclitaxel and carboplatin. I have also had two inconclusive biopsies (on my liver and lymph nodes). On Monday, January 16, 2023, I had a tumor debulking surgery that included a laparotomy, hysterectomy, salpingooophorectomy, lymphadenectomy and an omentectomy. After 8+ hours of surgery, a 12 inch incision, 4 nights in the hospital and a whole lot of pain and nausea, I am currently recovering at our Airbnb in Rochester.
