As a graphic designer, I spend a lot of time using body fonts (also known as 'paragraph text') in my designs.

I thought it would be super fun to take a deepdive into body fonts. After all the text you're reading right now is written in a body font.

And I know, I know, I know…

Body fonts are usually really, really boring. And, honestly, they should be simple. Body fonts are not the place where we get to have a lot of fun & flex creativity (we save that magic for Heading Fonts hehe).

BUT. Even though body fonts should be simple, they still all have their own quirks & energies.

I made a quick video breaking down my favorite sans serif + serif body fonts, sorted by FREE and PREMIUM options. This was a super fun video to make. ☺

I hope that this helps jumpstart your creativity for choosing body fonts for your next brand project. Your body font should be simple, but that doesn't mean it can't be beautiful, too.

After all 90% of your brand's information will be delivered via body font. Make it a good one ;)
