For our first episode of "My Favorite Luthiers" I travel to Scotland to receive my Taran "Tirga Beag" model in African Blackwood and Italian Spruce and later share thoughts on the guitar, other builds by Rory Dowling and company, and of course feature sound clips from the studio. Hearing Karlijn Langendijk and Matt Thomas play this guitar and nail their takes on the first try was the cherry on top for this whole experience, absolutely beautiful and expressive playing. Moving forward I cannot wait to see how the tone develops as it is already so alive. No additional EQ or compression was added in order to best represent the guitar. Please enjoy with headphones for the best sound. Thanks for watching and feel free to share and subscribe.
