Unbelievably, up until this video, I had never done a night time bike ride.

This is for a couple of reasons, firstly, It's hard to get motivated to ride your bike when it's cold and dark outside. Secondly, bike lights have only recently got to the point where night riding can be fun and safe in my opinion.

Speaking of lights, Magicshine sent me their Monteer 8000s v2 to test out and make some videos with.

I'm not obliged to say anything about this product, but I feel compelled to tell you that it is really very good. I don't have any experience with bike lights, but this light was so powerful and had such an incredible spread of light that I could read the trail almost as well as I can in the day.
