Well the cat is out of the bag, I made the trek down to Arkansas and signed the papers and handed over the money. This is the newest bird to my collection. Here's a brief run down about the plane, The design of the P70 Acey Deucy was started by former United States Navy Commander John C. Powell in 1966 with construction commencing in 1967. It was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in the experimental homebuilt category and the prototype first flew on 20 June 1970.

The Acey Deucy is a twoseat parasolwing monoplane with veebracing struts on each side supporting the composite structure fabriccovered wing. The fabriccovered fuselage and tail unit are a welded steeltube structure with wirebracing on the tail unit. The Acey Deucy can be powered by a sole piston engine rated between 65 and 90 hp, the prototype had a 65 hp (48 kW) Continental A65 aircooled engine driving a metal twobladed fixedpitch propeller. The conventional landing gear has a tailskid and the fuselage has two open cockpits in tandem, the front cockpit has a small door on the starboard side. Upgraded to Continenal 0200 with electric start. Look out for Part 2 of this Episode will be about. Figuring out how to fly this plane before we make the 890nm flight with it home.
