In all the years I've been driving out to that property in the winter, I've never had such a scary incident happen to me (and it happened twice!). Hopefully it'll never happen again, and I'm thankful it's over.
We had a big snowstorm hit, so lots of snow at the little offgrid cabin. My goal was to complete the loft (enough to put my bed up there), and I was able to do that!

I am questioning the small stove it definitely burns hot, but it does take a long time to get the place warm when it's 10 C outside. It also requires a lot of 'babysitting' and refilling, but I will stick it out for now. I won't lock myself into it when I get to finishing off that area though, just in case. I do wake up early (between 46am) to turn on the little propane heater for an hour or two to take the morning chill off.
I am really happy with how the loft turned out it's just the right size for me. I am not loving the reclaimed dock lumber in that space as much as I thought I would (just so many competing woods now), but the decorating isn't near done

I've been mulling over ladder ideas now...

Thanks so much for watching and see you in the next video
