I struggled a lot when I wanted to build an autonomous robot. Everyone else made hobby robots using Arduino with blinking LEDs and toy servo motors. But I wanted more than that. More serious engineering project that could actually help people. So, I went to college professors’ office hours and asked them how to build one. They said, “study linear algebra, differential equation, control theory, code,” and so on. These are just a list of textbook names. But we know this trick. Even though you study all these textbooks, you can’t build an autonomous drone. Like computer science, people say, with a CS degree, you still don’t know how to build a simple website with your domain. I know it’s controversial, but I have experienced this problem before.
Somehow, I finally figured out how to build an unmanned aerial vehicle before I got my bachelor’s degree. How did I do it? Well, I was a lucky one. I met a guy who taught me the actual thing! But don’t get me wrong. On the way, I had to study linear algebra, differential equations, codes, statistics, etc.. But not like blindly studying the entire textbook. Instead, I needed to be aware of the essence of the robotic engineering process. I believe you can also achieve these tricks if you follow my “Intro to Robotics Engineering for Serious People.” For those who are really curious about potential robotics engineers, the link is here. https://bit.ly/4g795lU'>https://bit.ly/4g795lU
