Here is my DIY take on the Japanesestyle tool box. It is pretty simple with just one 8 foot 1 x 10 needed.

Cutlist:
A) 1 @ 15 x 9 1/4 inches (bottom)
B) 2 @ 15 x 6 inches (long sides)
C) 2 @ 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches (short sides)
D) 2 @ 10 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches (top sides)
E) 1 @ 10 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches (lid side)
F) 1 @ 10 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches (wedge & wedge fitting, cut in the middle at an angle)
G) 1 @ 9 1/4 x 11 inches (lid)
H) 2 @ 2 x 9 1/4 inches (handles)
F) 2 @ 4 1/2 X 2 1 4 inches (feet)
