MY VERY FIRST KONE POLARIS! Traction Elevators (High u0026 Low Rise) at Bell Media Centre Montreal QC

Follow
Floridian Elevators

These are the NEWLY Modernized/Possibly Totally Replaced Elevators at the Bell Media Tower, formerly known as the Montreal Trust Tower in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. These are my VERY FIRST KONE POLARIS ELEVATORS!!!!!! I can't believe I got to find one of these, so AWESOME AND RARE!!!! Now all I need to find is a Schindler 5500!!!!!! Yes, as you guys know, I absolutely HATE KONE, AND I absolutely HATE MODERNIZATIONS!!!!!! But everything has it's exceptions, and this new KONE Polaris, let me tell ya, I was pretty impressed!!!!!! These Elevators unlike many KONE's actually run smoothly, don't make shaft or equipments noises it shouldn't make, they run smoothly and they don't appear to have broken down at all so far, and unlike many KONEs, the cabs and fixtures don't feel like cheap thin aluminum or plastic, and they actually feel solid. Yes, the COP is surface mounted, and like many KONEs, the buttons and COPs do still like they are on the cheap side, but forget the fixtures, rest of this elevator feels high quality and well built, which isn't something I can say about many KONEs as a lot of them feel like cheap pieces of garbage that can only last 510 years at most!!!!! This building was built in 1986, and these used to be Otis Elevonic 401 Elevators with Series 1 fixtures (Lord Elevator has a video of these when original, and back when the place was known as the Montreal Trust Tower) and while I HATE seeing Elevonic 401s bite the dust along with any older, vintage or antique elevator, and ones advanced for their time, KONE did an AWESOME job, and I was SUPRISED AND AMAZED with how this was, especially being this is my first KONE Polaris Elevator system!!!!! Plus, the French voice just adds to the AWESOMENESS of these and I sure like the sound of it MUCH better than the weird and annoying English voices KONE uses. These were mostly totally replaced, (the Otis logo is gone) aside from the outside doors, but still AMAZED!!!!!! Global Elevators (when fully modded) and one other user filmed these (in mod progress) and without your help, I wouldn't have known about these, so thank you so much!!!!!! And I rode both banks, both were FANTASTIC, But the Highrise went at a nice speed and were fun to ride in!!!!!! Anyways, with that being said, enjoy a ride on MY VERY FIRST KONE POLARIS DESTINATION DISPATCH!!!!!!!
