This is another project that I was working on within the past year! These are my vintage level crossing wigwags that I bought from the TSR just over a year ago. The one on the left dated back to the mid1980s I believe while the one on the right I believe dates back either to the 1970s or very early 1980s.

These wigwags did need some of TLC when I first got them, especially the one on the left as (as seen in a picture shown in this video) the backboard had rusted around the edge and behind the wigwag modules. The one on the right was also missing a red filter lens.

The wigwag on the left was given a complete repaint and is now in a restored condition, with the other wigwag getting a spare red lens that the TSR let us have.

Following on from that, I then went out of my way to get them working, with Yodalarms alongside. I did this by using an Arduino.

I’m not taking all the credit for this, so I’d like to give a shoutout to AutoUnder (   / autounder  ) for suggesting using the Arduino to get them working and helping me along the way!
