After Joshua brought the People of Israel into the Land, he set up the MISHKAN or 'Tabernacle' in Shiloh. The Tabernacle contained the Ark of the Covenant, the Golden Menorah an the Altar where all of Israel brought their sacrifices. It was the focal site of worship BEFORE Jerusalem for 369 years!
The city of Shiloh was positively identified by archeologists about 100 years ago. Since then many excavations have been done there looking for the site of the Mishkan, but while there are clues, no smoking gun has yet been found.
In this episode we visit 4 possible locations of the Mishkan and explore the evidence for and against each location. We also discuss the meaning of the Mishkan and the beginning of the vocation of the Prophet Samuel who had his first prophecies here at Shiloh.
In Season 2 we have brough in a second cameraman and a drone to give you an even better experience of these sites!
