Vishal Bharadwaj is adept at localising the Bard's plays. As always he has been formidably supported by his mentor Gulzar in writing some phenomenal lyrics.A huge plus is that Vishal himself is a very gifted yet understated music composer. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had fertile lyrics to show his prowess and expand on this soulful composition. This song embellished the mood of Omkara with the lyrics sewing together the plot and conveying the underlying emotions of the characters. For those who remember the movie, the picturisation of this song was the highlight of the movie.

Aabhas is spirited on his take on this already popular song which scales across the octaves. He creates space for himself as he delightfully enhances the words and leaves us with a compelling reason to listen to him again and again. Shreyas lends awesome accompaniment with the guitar and chorus vocals.

Aabhas and Shreyas performed for us in the early days of Lockdown 2020 with bare instrumentation over web streaming apps. Do forgive the few blips in the audio and enjoy this rendition.
