Plane Specs

Built from Jerry Bates Plans, 1/5 scale Nakajima Ki43 Hayabusa, code name Oscar by the Allies.

It spans 85 inches, powered by a Zenoah G62 with homemade muffler with scale exhaust outlets and Sierra Giant Scale retracts.

The model weighs 26 pounds and is painted with Krylon rattle cans dull aluminum and Behrs exterior latex green camo using
an inexpensive airbrush.

Peacock insignia made using water transfer decal paper, all other insignia painted using Krylon spray cans.

I use a Spektrum DX9, two A123, 2500mah receiver packs into dual switches and an iGyro3, 3axis gyro great for crosswind conditions.
Pilot figure comes from Warbird Pilots.

Plane is a joy to fly, extremely stable.
