This is a realtime narrated demonstration of how I quickly paint a small still life. It's a good lesson on how to keep things loose and expressive without getting bogged down by details. I go over what goes into the initial sketch, blocking in of basic colors, benefits of using a tinted surface, mixing colors, using a palate knife and more. You'll see my palate and how I mix all my colors.
