Brief Description: In this webinar earn how to use NASA’s Worldview, an imagery mapping and visualization tool that provides access to over 900 data imagery layers, many of which are available within hours, even minutes, to explore Earth’s interconnected processes and events.

Detailed Description: Worldview has been used for timecritical applications such as wildfire monitoring and management, supporting science through easytoaccess satellite imagery archives, illustrating disasters and natural events in the media, and for education and outreach. In this webinar, we
highlight the features and functionality of Worldview and demonstrate how it can be used for a variety of use cases, and spotlight new features and improvements added over the past few years. Many of these were made to support new imagery/data types like higher resolution, 30meter imagery from the Harmonized Landsat Sentinel2 (HLS) Project, geostationary imagery which are available every ten minutes from GOESEast, GOESWest, and Himawari8, and “interactive” data like MODIS and VIIRS Fires and Thermal Anomalies. Other improvements bolstered existing capabilities of Worldview making it a more robust application, such as the ability to download underlying data via the Earthdata Search tool.
