The use of #pesticides harms our health and the environment. This is not necessary. We can and have to move away from the toxic chemicals era. Many farmers provide good examples that pesticides are not needed to produce healthy and sufficient food. Others show that significant pesticide reduction is possible on conventional farms. Cities show that they can work without pesticides. These good examples should be multiplied and become mainstream.

The agrochemical industry has taken the reins of EU food production, it is about time we make use of the available agroecological alternatives to gradually phase out pesticides. Together with our members promote these initiatives wherever we can. We ask to reward those who work for and do research on these changes. Farmers should be rewarded with fair prices and public support for implementing pesticidefree practices. This will accelerate the transition to a system that is good for health and nature.
