Journey to the ancient ridge. The Middle Urals is a series of ancient ridges, dilapidated by time, individual peaks, mountain ranges. One of them is the Basegi Ridge. It consists of two separate peaks the Northern and Middle Basegs, and the third the Southern Baseg still retained the elongated shape of the ridge. At the top of the Middle Baseg there is an amazing creation of nature stone remnants. Such natural idols were revered by pagan peoples as deities.
The mining town of Gremyachinsk was founded in 1941. It was actively built after the war by German prisoners of war. Among the endless taiga in clear weather, right from the streets of the city, you can see the main attraction of the area the Basegi ridge. For centuries, the entire taiga in the Urals has been cut down. Only around the Basegi Ridge is a section of virgin taiga or Parma, as it is called in the Urals, preserved. Today, several schoolchildren will go on their first trip to the ancient ridge.
