The North Carolina State Highway Patrol can respond quicker and more effectively after an upgrade to its statewide computeraided dispatch (CAD) system. The $11.1 million project is made possible by the State's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. The new technology includes GPS to help track 911 callers and the location of troopers.
