Hello Friends! This video is all about neck pain and TMJ Disorders (also known as TMJ/TMD or TMJD). The neck and the jaw are intimately related mainly due to proximity these structures are right next to each other! Many of my TMJD patients also suffer from chronic neck pain. This pain may or may not be related to C1 the first cervical vertebra, also called Atlas. At my practice, if I feel strongly that misalignment of C1 is negatively impacting the jaw and hindering progress in treatment, I will utilize the skills of an upper cervical chiropractor a NUCCA Chiropractor or an Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor in conjunction with my treatment. This has proven to be invaluable for some of my TMJD patients, especially those whose jaws are locked closed.

If you're new to TMJD, typical symptoms are clicking, popping, crackling noises in the jaw, episodes of the jaw catching or locking, headaches, neck pain, ear pain, and jaw pain.
