How Nefertiti Looked in Real Life. Nefertiti was the Ancient Egyptian Queen from around 1353BC1336BC. Cleopatra was Queen of Egypt from 5130BC. So they're about 1300 years apart.

Nefertiti's family is much more unknown. Theories arose from her being the brother of the current Pharaoh Amenhotep III to his daugther or even a daughter of a unrelated noble. Either way her name means "The Beautiful (or perfect) one has come." A few busts survive of her and the most famous one is her painted sandstone bust that was found in 1913.

She was extremely powerful, becoming coregent alongside her husband Pharaoh Amenhotep IV/Akhenaten and raised the future famous Pharoah: King Tut.

It is thought that she could have ruled Egypt by herself once her husband passed away.
