What’s one thing you can accomplish in half an hour?
There are many correct answers to this question: however, many young men and women will use this time to complete a video game. Some games can be reasonably completed within half an hour; others are games that only speedrunners would think to complete within that time. And one such game is Neon White.
Neon White is an incredibly challenging game to master. The game was made for speedrunners and Ben Esposito and his team over at Angel Matrix included intentional skips for players to find. But the strategies used in the world record allow you to skip even more than the developers intended. If you speedrun Neon White at the highest level, there are no breaks, there are no easy stages, and much like John Krease from Cobra Kai, the game will show you No Mercy. But, if you manage to beat this game in under half an hour, you might just be one of the greatest speedrunners of all time. This is the world record history of Neon White Speedruns.
