Hello there here I present to you the 1 st part of the pathology section on the Neonatal Neurosonography video series.

Pre term infants bron before 32 weeks gestation and weighing under 1500g are at an increased risk for Intraventricular Hemorrhage.

The hemorrhages are evaluated in a grade system that goes up to 4
Grade I Subenpendymal hemorrhage
Grade II Blood enters the ventricle without casuing dilatation
Grade III Intraventricular blood with dilatation
Grade IV Intraparenchyma hemorrhage
