Dr. Mioara Larion investigates the lifesustaining chemical reactions—broadly known as metabolism—that fuel tumor growth. Her lab in the NCI Center for Cancer Research’s NeuroOncology Branch aims to understand cancer metabolism in order to develop better, less toxic treatments for people with brain and spine tumors.
