Neuzeit WARP First Impressions of a powerful new oscillator. Sound demo included!

WARP is a 4 voice deep oscillator module from Neuzeit Instruments. It is a mono synth voice, built around a combined Wavetable and additive engine. It has immense sound design possibilities, and is possibly the most advanced oscillator I've seen in eurorack. If you combined it with the WarpEx expander (and I recommend you do) it becomes a 4 voice polyphonic voice playable over both CV and MIDI nice!

In this video I give a firstimpressions walkthru of the module. I’ve only had it for a few days so this is more of an early exploration video than a deepdive tutorial. But don’t worry, that deepdive tutorial is in the works!

Warp has built in high and lowpass filters, envelopes and a VCA for articulating the sounds you make (though it can also act in drone mode), two LFOs and a clever modulation matrix. Don’t be put off by the screen and menus; I found this to be a very playable module, easy to tweak sounds and with great presets to get you started from.

I close out the video with an extended jamming demoing some of the presets and how you can manipulate them into new sounds. This will give you a flavour of what the module can do.
