Designed by gon architects for a film industry professional, the aptly named Casa Flix brings a Wes Andersoninspired colour palette to life in this once dark and awkwardly laid out 1900’s attic in central Madrid. Vibrant pops of colour are strategically placed throughout, with larger colour blocks defining different zones: deep blue for the entrance, green for the home office and butter yellow for the 5.5m long kitchen. The allwhite bedroom, hidden behind a pocket door, features a spacious tiled shower that connects to the rest of the house through a glass brick wall. The clever use of skylights along with mirrored walls, doors, and corners ensures that light floods the apartment whilst making it feel much larger than its 42m2 footprint.
