This is the house which began my YouTube journey. A lot has happened since May 2023 with my channel as well as with this family. I chose this home to start with because, when I met with the homeowner, I could see how much shame she had about her situation and she just looked "broken." I knew how hard it was for her to ask for help and something about her just made me want to do whatever was in my power to help her get to a better place. She was so young to have been through so much. Now, nine months later, she and her son and second husband have moved out of this house because of the reminders of the trauma and abuse she suffered through with her first husband here. They are in a rental while they build a new home and I wish them the very best with this new beginning and hope that she can find some peace.
