At launch, the newgeneration (fifth gen, or MX5 yes, seriously!) Santa Fe is petrolelectric HEV hybrid only. But later this year there will be a cheaper turbopetrol model, which might suit your budget a bit better.

Not that this newgen model is expensive it undercuts its main hybrid 7 seater SUV rival, the Toyota Kluger (Highlander) and there are several grades available, unlike in the Kia Sorento range (GTLine only!).

Its design may be a bit divisive, but if you like the look of this new Santa Fe model, you're going to be really into its interior!

The fuel economy? You bet it's good! But you'll have to watch to see what I achieved in this test.
