Bill Guerin scores two goals to help lead the Devils to a 41 victory in the opening game of the Conference Final.

Randy McKay and Scott Niedermayer also score for New Jersey, and Martin Brodeur stops 20 of 21 Philadelphia shots for the win in net. Craig MacTavish nets the only Flyers goal in the waning minutes of the game, as Ron Hextall takes the loss in the Philadelphia crease. The opening game of a physical series between division rivals sees each goaltender commit a twominute roughing penalty over the course of the night.

Second Intermission includes an interview with Christine Simpson of the Hockey Hall of Fame, who brings the Stanley Cup to the studio and shares stories about the trophy's colorful history. Interestingly enough, studio analysts Mike Milbury and Barry Melrose (who both played and coached in the NHL) refuse to touch or be seen with the Stanley Cup out of superstition.

Also includes ESPN's postgame coverage, which features highlights and analysis plus interviews with Bill Guerin and Martin Brodeur.

Game originally played on June 3, 1995 and broadcast nationally on ESPN, featuring commentary by Gary Thorne and Bill Clement.
