This is just a tour of the latest Junk I've added to my ever growing collection. I know, it seems as though I may have a hoarding issue but until the TV crews start knocking at my door I'll still be collecting junk! To me, the old junk is the "GOOD" junk. I know this video may not be for everyone and that's ok, if you like looking at the old stuff you might like this one and if you don't, there's no hard feelings my friends. I appreciate everybody that stops by the channel.

In this tour we'll look at an old Sears Suburban 12 HP Tecumseh tractor with a few attachments, a White Zero Turn mower I was planning to use for parts and a couple of Garden tractor oldies, an Allis Chalmers B10 with accessories, my John Deere 212, a Honda Big Red three wheeler, 682 Cub Cadet and more. All will receive some upcoming love as they each have a place on the "fun things to do" list.

When it comes to Garden Tractors the old ways were definitely better than the new. Cast iron rear ends and heavy duty mowing decks made from THICK steel plate made the old stuff indestructible. Oh sure you may have to replace the deck bearings and sharpen the blades or replace a belt every now and then but that's routine maintenance, the old stuff was/is bullet proof. The new mowers and garden tractors produced now are cheaply made, light duty "lawn tractors" and meant to be throwaways that usually provide a few years of service then are discarded for another new one. Instead of Cast Iron for the transmission and rear ends some are actually made of plastic now, I'm not kidding, PLASTIC! That's just modern business practice I suppose but still definitely a rip off for consumers IMO. The last New garden tractor I purchased was in 2008. With barely 100 hours on the meter it started having deck and electrical issues, never again. After that mistake I learned it would have been much smarter to have invested that $2K into rebuilding something like an old Cub Cadet, Wheelhorse, Sears Suburban, 200 series John Deere or my old Allis Chalmers B10 from 1968! The Allis B10 still ran and mowed but was parked years ago because it did smoke some and use oil. It needs a lot of love now but when it was parked, an engine refresh with new rings and rod would have likely been all it needed to continue to give great service!

If you like the older garden tractors be sure to stop by ‪@GardenTractorBoy‬ channel.
