Our latest publication in Frontiers in Remote Sensing audits the editorial boards of 30 journals in #remotesensing and spatial science. We discovered a heavy gender and geographic bias, with some boards consisting of 100% men. Here I argue that scientific publishing and gatekeeping needs a shake up, and that we all have power as authors, reviewers, editors, and readers to walk away from journals who do not meet our values and make no attempt to address their biases.
