With a newly paved road that runs along the western edge of the Azuero Peninsula (previously very difficult terrain and hard to access) we were able to explore the region in a way that was almost impossible for us, previously.

Due to the topography, and geology, it's one of the most unique and biodiverse in the world, it's just one surf break after another, the entire way down the coast, and with the southwestern corner protected (Cerro Hoya National Park), it's home to some of the last Great Green Macaws, among other Critically Endangered birds and animals.

From mangroves to lush jungle waterfalls this region has it all, and we're just dropping crumbs before we show you around some more.

For now, this is just a quick teaser to show family and friends the region where we will be part of a large movement to reforest and return to sustainable living practices.
