UPDATE = just for the record, the 4 small transformers are 6v each, and driving the transistor base's * current is minimal. this was required because i needed extra isolation to get over 200v. my latest version looks abit silly, but i am using solar panels with flashing LED's to provide the base drive for the transistors ( which is only around 4v @ 5ma), now i can get my 3998 transistors just over 1kv. newman is king.
