The return leg from Newtownards to Barton on 29th July 2024. The aircraft was GBOIL, a Cessna 172 from LAC Flying School at Barton.
The (unforecast) cloud that we had encountered on the way to Newtownards was still a factor so there is comparatively little footage of the first half of the flight. Being over water under grey skies does not make for great videos!
We received an extremely helpful service from both Scottish Information and Warton Radar.
Back at Barton, the circuit traffic fell nicely for us allowing us to join on right base for rwy 26L.
There was a snag with our radio in that, intermittently, there was very intrusive static. The result was that I have had to be very sparing with cockpit audio when editing.
